Patterns Past & Present: Creature Feature

Here at Rosanna, we take great delight in a fabulous pattern. We are constantly referring back to different eras of design and look to the past for so much of our inspiration. However, recently we've noticed a new pattern trend that can't really be placed in one category and we love it: the animal pattern. It was hard to narrow them down, but take a look at some of our favorites that we've spotted!

Patterns Past & Present

This painting style originates from the people of Australia’s Western Desert who formed the Papunya Tula art movement. This particular painting is made up of many layers of colorful, individual dots. While these pieces of art may look simple, they are filled with patterns, symbols, and sacred designs - often relating to the earth, energy, and life.

The organic nature of this dot style can be spotted in many products today.
Below are a few of our favorites.
